Man arrested for
allegedly stealing soccer ball |

Windsor police on
Tuesday evening arrested a Santa Rosa man after he allegedly stole a soccer
ball during a game and fired a handgun at a coach who chased after him.
Robert Charles Smith,
36, allegedly ran onto the field during a game at Esposti Park in Windsor and
stole the game ball around 4:54 p.m., the Sonoma County Sheriff's Department
said. A 24-year-old assistant
soccer coach chased the suspect when he fled in a gray Mercury Cougar to
Tamara Lane. Police said the coach
stopped after the suspect stopped his car. The suspect then removed a case
from his trunk and leveled something at the coach who said he heard a
gunshot. Witnesses reported seeing a handgun and an area resident recorded
the license plate of the Cougar before the suspect fled. The coach was not
injured. Windsor police located
the car on Stephanie Court in Santa Rosa and arrested Smith without incident.
Police said they recovered a loaded pistol from Smith's bedroom.
Smith was arrested for
assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm. He was booked into
the Sonoma County Jail in lieu of $35,000 bail. Police say they have no
motive in the bizarre crime. |
Your
gloves will last longer!!!!!
Uhlsport goalkeeper gloves are worn by goalkeepers worldwide. The soft
micro porous natural palm guarantees optimum grip and cushioning in different
weather and match conditions. The functional features last until latex palm
material has nearly worn off the glove. In order to increase the adhesion of
your goalkeeper gloves, you can moisten them before games or training sessions.
This is valid for smooth palms and compressed latex foams. Reactivating your
APGplus adhesive foam is quite easy. Before games or training moistens the
palms with water. Any kind of contamination will reduce the adhesion and
lifetime of goalkeeper gloves. Your uhlsport goalkeeper gloves will last
longer, if you clean them in warm water and dry at room temperature. For
drying, do not put your gloves on the heater or into the dryer. Please store
your goalkeeper gloves in dry conditions, making sure that the palm surfaces
don’t touch each other. Protect your goalkeeper gloves from direct uv-rays
through sun, fluorescent lamps etc., in order to prevent the palms from
becoming hard and brittle.
-Dirt can reduce
adhesion but washing correctly can restore all the original properties: Hand
wash only in not more than 80*F with a small amount of mild detergent. Caution:
Hot washing and overdose of detergent may damage the latex material.
-The extremely soft
latex grip foam is subject to greater wear than rubber materials.
US Soccer has been informed by FIFA that it has decided to temporarily set aside the new provision regarding jersey sleeves (sleeveless jerseys) found in International Board Decision 1 of Law 4.
