RANDOM MIXER TOURNAMENT

 

WHERE: Beach Chalet

WHEN: Sunday, December 1, at 9:30am-4pm. Guaranteed 3 games. You will have a ~30 minute break in between your games.

 

COST: $10 drop-in. No checks will be accepted.

 

BRING: A white and dark shirt....also bring food. We will provide drinks & fruit and probably some snacks.

 

DETAILS: 7 on 7, 4'x6' goals. No goalies and no one in crease.

 

- just show up and we will RANDOMLY put you on a team. No advance or team registrations are being accepted

- 20 minute halves

- shinguards required

- games will all be referee'ed

- Show up starting at 8:30am and we will randomly put you on a team after you sign our waiver. You must check in with a picture ID that shows your DOB.

- Your first game will be at 930am or 10am; first-come first-serve

- You have to sign-in on Sunday; now switching of teams allowed

- We're aiming for 8 teams; 13 members per team. We'd like to have a minimum of 3-women per field. It depends on how many show.

 

GAME RULES:

 

- no throw-ins; they are in-direct kicks

- no slide-tackling

- no one allowed in crease unless ball is ALREADY there. Referee's call whether you are in the crease. If violated, PK from 25 yards out.

- corner kicks and PKs are the only allowed direct kicks

- no off-sides rules exists

- yellow card- immediate 2 minute substitution; sub allowed

- red card- immedate game out; no sub allowed

 

DIRECTIONS to Beach Chalet (thanks to GGWSL directions):

From 80 (East Bay):

Take 80 to SF (Bay Bridge)
Take 101 South.
Take the Fell Street off ramp. < continue below >

From 101 (northbound):
Take the Fell Street off ramp.
Follow Fell west about 3 miles.
When Fell splits, as it runs into GG Park, follow the road left.
Fell then turns into Lincoln Blvd.
Follow Lincoln for about 3 miles.
Turn right on 41st (into the park).
Turn left at the first stop sign (about 20 yards).
Follow the road to the right, as it forks.
Straight thru the next stop sign.
Field parking lot is on the left.

From 280 (northbound)
Follow signs to 1/Golden Gate Bridge.
Exit Brotherhood Way.
Turn right on Lake Merced.
Follow the road as it winds around the lake.
Road turns into Sunset Blvd.
Follow Sunset, straight into the park.
Turn left at stop sign (T-Junction).
Straight thru next stop sign.
Follow the road to the right, as it forks.
Straight thru the stop sign.
Field parking lot is on the left.

From Marin:
Take 1/Park Presidio south.
Right on Fulton.
Left on 47th.
Left at the stop sign.
Field parking lot in on the right.
