Girls Tryouts
Sunday May 18, 2003 @ Kezar 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Boys Tryouts
Wednesday May 21, 2003 @ Balboa 4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Locations

• Balboa Soccer Field (Circular Dr. & Havelock St.)
• Kezar Stadium (Arguello St. & Frederick St.)

Eligibility

• Must be 13 and no older than 15 years old as of August 15, 2003.
• Participants must reside or attend school, within 10 miles of San Francisco.

Type of Play to be evaluated:

• Technical Skills: receiving, dribbling, distribution, finishing, vision and
• creativity
• Tactical Skills: decisions, positioning, reading of the game,
• Physical Ability
• Mental Attitude and Sportsmanship

After tryouts this weekend, remain at Kezar to watch the San Francisco Nighthawks Women's Premier team play the California Storm (2002 WPSL Champions). The Nighthawks are members of the Women's Premier Soccer League. The WPSL is a national adult amateur league comprised of 19 western and eastern United States teams. The teams in the WPSL have won numerous tournaments and titles including Regional and National Championships. They are coached by top-notch professionals and are well respected in their communities. Over 80 former WPSL players are now on WUSA teams and many more are expected to join the pros in the future.

HOME GAME SCHEDULE

Home games will be played at Kezar Stadium (Frederick and Stanyan) with the exception of June 22nd, which will be played at Balboa Stadium (Ocean and San Jose Ave.).

Adults: $5; Youth (u-14): $1; Season: $5 youth, $20 adult
