Thanks so much for speaking with me and for providing coaching ideas and suggestions for my coaching search for the USF Men’s Soccer Club. You asked me to let you know about the time commitment, coaching responsibilities, and other job specifics for this job, so I will briefly address that as best I can.
First off, the time commitment would likely include at least two (2-3 hour) weekday practices per week, with the possibility of a weekend practice and weekend games once the schedule begins. I’m looking for a passionate and enthusiastic soccer coach who will help the guys grow as players and people. You mentioned a group of coaches who would probably require about $40 per hour of coaching, and I’ve got to say we could never afford that. We could, however, offer a small stipend for each semester coached. I would rather discuss that stipend after identifying the potential coaching candidates if that’s all right.
I see our group of players as a mixed bag of talent. I’m told by the team captain that they were very talented this year, but that can change from year to year with seniors going and freshman and newcomers joining the program. I would just like to see a patient and knowledgeable soccer coach come in to make strides with this group. If you can help me out in furthering the search, I would really appreciate it!
I was hoping you might pass on the following link to our Girls’ Soccer Camp website for this coming summer. All the information is included there, and players can register online.

I hope things are going well at Sunset Soccer these days. ROCK is great although I am feeling some of the pains with our current economy.
I am writing because Lindsay Kauffman, who I believe you know, is competing in a fun, over-the-top fundraising event ROCK is hosting called Funk out with ROCK. You can actually see her in a video located at http://funk.rocksf.org/master.htm. I am wondering if you might be able to help promote the event in your next newsletter and/or on your site?

Real Options for City Kids
SF Viking Summer Camp has been around for years, yet for many of our soccer players it is their first camp experience. Our staff consists of nationally licensed coaches, former professional, and college players, who were selected for their ability to teach and their passion for the game.
We specialize in coaching soccer
to
5, 6 and 7
years olds.
Our coaches ensure that players of every age and ability level will have fun learning the game of soccer. The low player to coach ratio enables the coaches to provide continuous attention and individual skills training. The camp also provides a variety of group exercises, small-sided games, and full field matches. In addition to this first class training every player will receive an official camp shirt, soccer ball, and bag. At the end of the week every player will also get a personal evaluation from the coaching staff.
philosophy:
The San Francisco Viking Club Soccer Camp is designed to instruct boys and girls ages 5 to 12 in individual skills while improving techniques and tactics. The Viking Soccer Club will develop, enhance, and increase the skills of each soccer player regardless of level or playing ability.
